"All of the great horary authorities - ancient, traditional and modern - have stressed the need for deep thought and contemplation in the framing of the horary question.  In 'The Considerations of Guido Bonatus', the 13th century Italian astrologer whose works have been so influential upon horary technique, t he first consideration in the art of skilful practice requires the astrologer to reflect upon what has moved the querent to consult with the astrologer."   (Deborah Houlding, 'Questioning our Horaries', Skyscript Monthly September 2024)

Horary is a fascinating technique in Astrology.  Not every question passes the test.  There are techniques regarding certain degrees that can render a question unfit for Horary at the time of its asking.  An example might be the asking of a question wherein the answer has already been established.  It is a strange phenomena to witness the stars refusing to perform for a wishful thinking one who wants reality to bend back and rebend, after the last drink has been drunk.  There must also be a deeply connected intent on the part of the Querent, the one who is asking the question.  The Astrologer must comprehend the question, and when he or she does, that is the exact time of the chart's casting.

Horary is a form of divination, but it is one that is quite complex in its administering.  There are very defined rules for reading a chart.  Guido Bonatus lists 146 'considerations' to take into account.

Some people use Horary to find lost items or pets.  Others ask questions about career prospects, as they embark on certain pathways.  Others might ask questions about legal battles.  There are many genuine questions where the chart yields some helpful responses.

If you are interested in an Horary Reading the best way to go about this is to consider your question carefully, and only when it resonates with your intent should you ask it.  Your question must be clear, with some context to it, so that it is comprehended very well what you are asking.  Do not be shy about supplying as much information about the context as you can.  This will assist in the reading of the planets in certain positions.  A planet can represent many things.  There may be something very important in your context.  If stated it can be clearly visible via the planet that represents it.  If it is not stated then that planet's purpose may be missed and the reading will not be as helpful.  It is quite tricky, but well worth the effort for a sincere question that you have tried other ways to answer for yourself already.

No charge is made for this until the question is received and accepted for reading.
